Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal/Lead Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer to join a dynamic team in delivering a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) project for an innovative hydrogen process plant. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and client-facing experience to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and instrument discipline input for FEED projects.
- Prepare, review, and approve engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Allocate tasks and manage project deliverables against timelines and budgets.
- Oversee the procurement and specification of control systems, instrumentation, and analysers.
- Ensure adherence to national and international codes, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct technical bid assessments and supplier evaluations.
- Lead safety case preparation, including cybersecurity verification and validation activities.
- Support installation planning for instrumentation in potentially explosive environments.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronic, Electrical, or Control Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or close to achieving it).
- Extensive knowledge of UK legislation and standards relevant to process plant engineering.
- Competency in instrumentation installation for hazardous areas.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
