Health & Safety Advisor

Hays Health & Safety are excited to work with a medium-sized housebuilding organisation based in North Wales who have grown exponentially in the last 2 years. They are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support the QSHE Manager with the increasing workload.

This role will initially be a fixed-term contract for 3–6 months with a view to making the role permanent dependent on performance.

This is a great opportunity for somebody with 2+ years experience in Health & Safety in a construction setting who wants to build on their career.

The Role

  • Support the QSHE Manager with daily duties, including site audits and inspections, generating RAMS, Contractor Controls and administration tasks
  • Sit in and contribute to weekly leadership meetings presenting any up-to-date findings
  • Contribute to a successful and strong Health & Safety culture on sites and across the organisation
  • Deliver training programmes and inductions on selected Health & Safety topics
  • Investigate any incidents and provide clear corrective actions
  • Actively encourage near miss and incident reporting
  • Support in the documentation of training, incidents and inspections

The candidate

  • Holds a NEBOSH General Certificate (Minimum)
  • Has 2+ Years Health & Safety experience in a construction setting
  • A strong and collaborative attitude to Health & Safety willing to challenge where necessary
  • The ability to achieve targets with minimal supervision

What's on offer?

A £45k-£50k salary is on offer for the right candidate and opportunities for further professional development and course funding should the candidate be taken on after the 3-6 month contract.
