Job Title: Personal Tax Senior | Job Location: Edinburgh

Your new company

This well-established and respected firm of chartered accountants and business advisers is based in the heart of Edinburgh. With a long-standing reputation for excellence, the firm combines traditional values with a modern, client-focused approach. It offers a full range of professional services including audit, tax, and advisory, and is known for its supportive culture and commitment to professional development.

Your new role

As a Personal Tax Senior, you will manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and trusts. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns, advising clients on personal tax planning opportunities, and ensuring compliance with current tax legislation. You will also support junior staff and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in personal tax, ideally within a professional services or accountancy firm. A relevant qualification such as ATT or CTA is preferred, though not essential if you have strong practical experience. You’ll need excellent communication skills, a client-centric mindset, and a keen eye for detail. The ability to manage deadlines and work independently is also crucial.

What you'll get in return

In return, you’ll join a friendly and collaborative team in a firm that values work-life balance and professional growth. The role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working options, and opportunities for career progression. You’ll also benefit from working in a central Edinburgh location, with access to a wide range of clients and interesting, varied work.
