About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Electrical BIAS Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the integration, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems, with a strong focus on Building Infrastructure and Associated Systems (BIAS). You will ensure all systems meet regulatory standards and customer specifications while collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, review, and validate electrical systems and layouts in line with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Support the development and integration of BIAS components including lighting, power distribution, HVAC, fire detection systems, and control panels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, systems, civil, etc.) to ensure cohesive system integration.
  • Produce and review technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and installation procedures.
  • Conduct electrical testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of BIAS systems.
  • Supervise site activities including installation, testing, and resolution of engineering issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project planning.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in electrical system design, preferably in infrastructure, transport, or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with standards such as IEC, BS, EN, and NFPA.
  • Proficiency in CAD and electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Desirable:
  • Experience in rail, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of BIM processes and digital design environments.
  • Working towards or holding professional certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer status).
