A school in Leamington is looking for a Year 6 teacher to work full time, from September on a 1 year FTC.

Your new role

As a Year 6 teacher, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of professionalism and ensuring a positive, engaging learning environment for all pupils. You will set clear, differentiated learning targets based on prior attainment, plan adaptive lessons in collaboration with colleagues, and provide a stimulating classroom environment. Your role includes implementing a broad and balanced curriculum, using ICT effectively, and providing regular feedback to help pupils progress. You will also support the social, emotional, and cultural development of pupils, maintain good relationships and behaviour management. Additionally, you will work closely with support staff, monitor pupil progress, and report to senior leaders and parents.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed as a Year 6 teacher in a primary school, you need a deep understanding of the curriculum and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of your pupils. Strong classroom management skills are essential for maintaining a positive, focused learning environment. You should be adaptable, creative, and enthusiastic, using innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students. Effective communication with colleagues, parents, and pupils is key, along with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback.
