Your New Role

We are actively recruiting supply teachers for primary schools across Newham. Our long-standing partnerships with schools in the area mean we receive frequent bookings, averaging 3–4 placements per week from key partner schools. Whether you prefer full-time availability or occasional placements, you can choose how often you work.

Responsibilities:

•Deliver engaging lessons that follow school curriculum plans or adapt materials for unplanned cover.
•Create a positive and well-managed learning environment that fosters student progress.
•Follow school policies and procedures to ensure a smooth transition for pupils.
•Provide marking and feedback at the end of lessons.
•Leave a detailed handover for the class teacher to maintain consistency.

Requirements:

•Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE qualification.
•Proven experience in a primary classroom setting.
•Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
•Flexibility and willingness to travel within Newham.
•A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Hays.
