Your new role

• Influence and Transform:
  Lead the charge in transforming Adult Social Care by supporting staff to adapt and continuously improve, ensuring our services flourish.
• Leadership and Management:
  Manage the Financial Management team, delivering an outstanding finance business partnering service.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  Demonstrate thorough knowledge of legislation affecting local government finance and Adult Social Care Services.
• Strategic Support:
  Advise and support senior managers on key financial matters, including complex calculations, options appraisals, and variance analysis.
• Effective Communication:
  Present complex financial information clearly to non-financial professionals, ensuring confidence and understanding.
• Performance Management:
  Drive continuous improvement, providing reliable financial information to support decision-making and reporting.

What you'll need to succeed

• CCAB Qualified:
  Or possess relevant experience in local government accounting, preferably within Adult Social Care.
• Leadership Skills:
  Inspire and motivate your team to achieve excellence.
• Communication Skills:
  Explain complex financial issues clearly and effectively.
• Commitment to Quality:
  Maintain and improve the quality of services provided.
• Strategic Advice:
  Provide advice to ensure effective delivery and value for money.
• Time Management:
  Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines to achieve service goals.
• IT Proficiency:
