I am representing a well-established business in the Belfast area that is seeking to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper to report directly to the Managing Director. This reputable company has a long-standing history of excellence and is known for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for a variety of key duties, including:

  • Providing regular reports to the Directors on performance against targets and budgets

  • Preparing and issuing invoices and statements, managing credit control, and following up on outstanding payments

  • Managing monthly payroll

  • Handling calls, emails, filing, and office documentation

  • Maintaining accurate financial records using Sage Software

  • Managing and tracking staff annual leave, absences, and key employee records, as well as onboarding new team members

  • Overseeing and maintaining the office Quality Assurance, including preparing documentation for annual audits

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, applicants should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong planning, organisation, and multitasking abilities. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential, as is proficiency in using Sage payroll and accounting software.
