Hays are excited to be working with a pioneering manufacturing organisation producing products from sustainably resourced materials to customers within the utilities, fabrication and various other industries.
This opportunity offers significant scope for growth in a growing organisation determined to improve on their already established safety culture through behavioural-led safety management and processes.

The role
- Develop, maintain and implement a behavioural safety-led management system across the organisation
- Ensure all SHE documentation is kept up to date and continuously reviewed and is fit for purpose
- Proactively encourage near miss and accident reporting ensuring preventative action is taken on any trends that arise
- Manage the environmental systems to comply with regulations and achieve ISO accreditations
- Manage SHE training, including first aid, manual handling, environmental awareness and any ad-hoc gaps identified
- Prepare periodic reports and present them to the senior leadership team
What you'll need to succeed
- Significant experience managing Safety, Health & Environmental processes in a manufacturing environment is essential
- Ideally experience in a plastics, chemical or other high-risk environment
- Knowledge and experience managing environmental processes
- Achievements developing, maintaining and implementing successful management systems to achieve ISO accreditations
- Experience managing a large site via a behavioural safety-led model
- Ideally Level 6 Diploma qualified or equivalent with relevant environmental qualification
