SEND Support Lead

Your new role

Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week

Role Overview
As a SEND Support Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring students with SEND receive the tailored support they need to thrive. Working closely with the SEND team, you will provide full school-based operational management support to the SENDCo, ensuring consistently high-quality SEND provision that positively impacts student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the SENDCo in leading and managing SEND provision across the school.
  • Manage the SEND team to raise standards of achievement and progress for SEND students.
  • Lead the tracking, monitoring, and implementation of interventions to support SEND and vulnerable learners.
  • Liaise with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to coordinate support services and planning.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, making adjustments to support plans as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and school policies related to SEND.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in a SEND support role within an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
