GROUNDS MAINTENANCE OPERATIVES REQUIRED IN RUNCORN

Your new company

You will be working for a registered social housing landlord providing safe, affordable homes to people at every stage of life. They own and manage more than 29,000 properties across the North, and offer homes for social rent, affordable rent, shared ownership, outright sale, and private rent.


You will be working in the environmental team based out of the depot in RUNCORN.

Your new role

Your new job role will be to carry out all aspects of Grounds Maintenance works such as;
- Grass Cutting: Using powered mowers and strimmers to maintain lawns and grassy area
- Hedge and Shrub Maintenance: Trimming hedges and shrubs using powered hedge cutters, and pruning plants as needed
- Weeding and Spraying: Removing weeds and applying herbicides to hard surfaces and kerb edges
- Litter Collection: Picking up litter and ensuring communal areas are clean and tidy
- Tree Maintenance: Basic tree care, such as removing damaged or broken
- Seasonal Planting: Planting and maintaining seasonal bedding and shrubs
- Pathway Maintenance: Clearing and sweeping pathways to keep them free of debride
- Customer Interaction: Addressing customer enquiries and complaints promptly and effectively
- Health and Safety Compliance: Following all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of machinery

What you'll need to succeed

For this role you will need;
- Previous experience working as a Grounds Maintenance Operative (minimum 2 years)
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
- Good grounds maintenance knowledge
- Full PPE
- Previous references
