Qualified Teacher Job - SEN School - Leicester

Hays are working in partnership with large SEN school in Leicester to find a SEN Teacher to join their close-knit team. This is a long-term temporary job to start in September. The successful candidate will have experience teaching pupils with a range of additional needs including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.

This Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ school in Leicester provides an excellent education for pupils with complex medical conditions or physical disabilities from ages EYFS through to Key Stage 5. Pupils benefit from an innovative curriculum and the support of specialist staff including teachers, speech and language therapists, and NHS professionals.

Your new role

In your new job as a Teacher with Hays, you will take on teaching responsibility for pupils in this Key Stage 2 class with complex medical conditions. You’ll work with like-minded practitioners to deliver the schools’ excellent curriculum. Hays Teachers make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities which make every day different! You’ll benefit on-going support from your Hays consultant, Hollie, who will help you find the placements which suit your skills and needs.

What you need to succeed

To succeed in your new job, you’ll hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching in a SEND environment. You’re someone who loves taking on a challenge and you enjoy adapting to new situations. You’ll have supported with pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and/or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities. Most importantly, you’ll be confident stepping into a new school and ready to support pupils with a range of needs.
