B2B Key Account Manager, £45,000 (£70,000 OTE), Croydon, Hybrid-Working, Retail Company, Immediate Start!

Our client, a leading Retail company based in Croydon, are looking to recruit a personable, money-motivated B2B Key Account Manager / Sales Consultant to join their growing team. Offering a very competitive £45,000 basic salary and an uncapped commission structure (a realistic first-year OTE of £70,000+), this is an amazing opportunity!


Our client are the number one in the UK for what they do, and are an excellent client of ours. We have placed 15 candidates in both the Customer Service and Sales teams over the course of our 10-year relationship with the business, and they are now looking to continue their growth. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:


- Owning the entire sales cycle with external clients - from initial prospect/lead generation to close
- Developing strong relationships, engaging with key decision-makers and establishing long-term partnerships
- Pitching/presenting the company's tailored solutions to clients
- Managing the sales pipeline - ensuring a consistent flow of new business
- Attending networking events - identifying new opportunities and connecting with potential clients
- Collaborating with internal teams – working with marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure an exceptional client experience


The role is working 3 days a week in the office (the other members of the team are all Hays placements (and a lovely bunch!)), with 2 days working from home. Given the duties of the role, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:

- Proven B2B sales experience with a strong track record of exceeding targets
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in closing B2B sales (ideally larger/corporate clients)
- Experience of managing client accounts (conducting business reviews to identify new sales opportunities, etc)
- Exceptional communication skills – articulate, persuasive, and ability to build rapport effortlessly
- Strategic thinking – ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities
- Resilience and persistence – a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to overcome challenges
- Strong IT proficiency – experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

The working hours for the role are Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm. Given the location of the office, it is advantageous if you live in South London, however this is not a necessity.
