Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEN) - Oldham
Your new company
Hays Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join a dynamic team at a well-respected Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Oldham. Hays Education is a leading recruitment agency specialising in the education sector, committed to helping schools find the best talent to support their students' learning and development. With a vast network and extensive experience, Hays Education ensures that both schools and candidates receive the highest level of service and support.
Your new role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEN), you will support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education to students who have been excluded from mainstream education. Please note that this is a very challenging role, requiring resilience and dedication, along with a good sense of humour.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need an HLTA qualification or equivalent, proven experience in a similar role within a PRU setting, strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students, and a commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children. Experience working with students with special educational needs and challenging behaviour is essential.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a competitive salary, professional development opportunities, a supportive and collaborative working environment, and the opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives. You will be part of a school that offers a high-quality curriculum, supplemented by a variety of subjects to develop the personal, social, and emotional skills needed to be happy and successful contributors to society.
What you need to do now
To apply for this exciting HLTA position, please submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are the ideal candidate for this role. For more information, please contact Amy Fitzgerald at Hays Education.
