I have partnered with a loss adjuster based near Fenchurch Street who are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. The accountant will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation and supporting financial decision-making.

Your new role

• Reviewing outputs from the accounting system (Accounts IQ) and time/billing system (Mavenlink) to aid reconciliation and alignment of both systems.
• Ensuring processes and controls are monitored and updated with maintenance of financial systems
• Complete transactional accounting function
• Responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Management of account reconciliations, general ledger analysis and balance sheet recons.
• Help in preparation of monthly Management Accounts Pack for group entities in a timely manner.
• Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and other journals as required.
• Assisting in the preparation of the Group Annual Budget, Forecasts and Business Plans.
• Assisting with statutory and audit requirements are met and schedules for auditors.
• Ad-hoc projects for CFO

What you'll need to succeed

• Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA

• Proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills

• Proven experience in accounting for at least 3 to 5 years
