Role Overview
The School Exams Officer will be responsible for the smooth administration and coordination of all internal and external examinations. Key duties include:
  • Exam Management: Planning and overseeing the scheduling, invigilation, and logistics of exams.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all examination procedures adhere to relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of student entries, results, and other exam-related data.
  • Communication: Acting as the primary point of contact for exam boards, staff, students, and parents.
  • Support: Assisting with the preparation and distribution of exam materials and results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and distribute exam timetables.
  • Register and enter students for exams.
  • Ensure secure storage and handling of exam papers and materials.
  • Set up exam venues and manage invigilators.
  • Address any exam-related issues or queries promptly.
  • Stay updated on examination regulations and procedures.
Key Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in exam administration.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills.
  • High attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
