Business Analyst, initial 7-month contract, up to £580 p/d, Belfast (hybrid)

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Program Execution & Transformation team, focusing on the MiFID II Product Governance - Enhance for Markets Project. This role involves enhancing the existing implementation of MiFID II Product Governance, delivering changes to policies, procedures, systems, controls, reporting, and governance throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand regulatory requirements and gather business, legal, and compliance needs.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify current state solutions against required enhancements.
  • Propose solution options and document changes or define new governance and reporting structures.
  • Enhance BAU processes and controls.
  • Document new or changes to existing policies and procedures where applicable.
  • Perform data analysis as required.
  • Support the project manager to meet PMO standards and track implementation of deliverables.
  • Prepare materials for working groups and facilitate UAT where applicable.

Essential Criteria
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst in Investment Banking.
  • Experience implementing MiFID II Product Governance.
  • Proven track record of business analysis and project delivery within a regulatory framework, including legal interpretation, business impact analysis, solution development, and handover to BAU.
  • Experience working with Business Managers, Front Office Trading & Sales, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Effective communication skills for updates to project/programme managers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel for data analysis, PowerPoint, Visio for process flow).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

This role will be a hybrid role with 3 days in the office in Belfast. Although the role is initially for a 7-month period there is a high possibility of an extension.
