Hays are working alongside a market-leading international business to recruit a Financial Accountant to their well-established finance team. This company has grown significantly to be the number 1 in their market and has positioned themselves to continue on that trajectory.


Your new role

The main purpose of the role will be to support the Financial Controller in the production of external reporting, technical accounting, sustainability reporting and acquisition accounting. The key aspects of the role will include:

  • Assistance with the preparation of external reporting, including the annual report and subsidiary financial statements;
  • Assist in the preparation of external sustainability reporting, including preparing climate risk assessments, articulating the requirements and how they impact the Group;
  • Reviewing acquisition completion accounts;
  • Researching technical accounting aspects to ensure the Group is compliant with IFRS;
  • Ownership and reconciliation of technical areas on the balance sheet;
  • Technical calculations/models such as share-based payments and hedge accounting;
  • Key understanding of technical areas which affect the group, such as IFRS3, IFRS 9, IFRS 16 and more;
  • Month-end and weekly reporting;
  • Assisting the wider finance team as required on any ad-hoc duties.
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday on a hybrid basis.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a fully qualified accountant, ideally trained within a practice setting and have strong technical knowledge of IFRS reporting. You will have strong attention to detail and be able to influence others to collaborate.
