Leading Estate Agency Requires A Senior Maintenance Officer To Join Their Team

They are now looking for a Senior Maintenance Officer to join their team, providing expert oversight of property maintenance, inspections, and compliance while ensuring landlords, tenants, and internal teams receive outstanding service.


Your new role

As Senior Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for managing maintenance operations across our property portfolio, ensuring all work is completed promptly and to the highest standard. You will supervise maintenance activities, manage contractors, conduct inspections, and implement preventative maintenance plans while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Maintenance Operations:
  • Receive and monitor all incoming work orders for managed properties via internal software, ensuring systems remain up-to-date.
  • Liaise with landlords for approval to instruct contractors and ensure timely completion of works.
  • Coordinate contractors, ensuring appropriate assignments for each work order.
  • Process contractor invoices and close out work orders upon completion.
  • Organise and maintain planned maintenance schedules for managed properties.
  • Collaborate with sales and rental departments to facilitate maintenance/building work quotations.
Inspections & Compliance:
  • Conduct property inspections, identifying and documenting maintenance needs.
  • Manage inspection schedules and ensure timely completion via diary management tools.
  • Prepare inspection reports using required software, ensuring accurate records.
  • Initiate required maintenance based on inspection findings and oversee completion.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance, maintaining high standards across all properties.
Other Duties:
  • Handle telephone queries, book appointments, and provide customer service.
  • Assist with chasing rental arrears and other financial accounts duties.
  • Maintain accurate property records using internal systems.
  • Support the rental department with enquiries and viewings when necessary.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required by CPS Property.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in property maintenance or a similar facilities role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Thorough knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements.
