1:1 SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Position Available in Gloucestershire

A primary school in Gloucestershire is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised support to a pupil with SEN, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.
Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and strategies.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and report on the pupil's progress.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support the pupil in developing social skills and independence.

Requirements:

Experience working with children with special educational needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).
