Hays Healthcare are recruiting for Prison Nurses to work at HMP Lowdham Grange.
Your new role
As part of the dedicated team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to the inmates at HMP Lowdham Grange.
Role: Band 6 – Registered Mental Health Nurses
Working hours: Shifts negotiable with the service
Start Date: ASAP – ongoing, rota available until July
Key Responsibilities
To conduct thorough mental health assessments of inmates, identifying their mental health needs and writing appropriate care plans.
To conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential risks to individuals and others, including self-harm, suicide, or harm to others, and implementing appropriate risk management strategies.
To administer and monitor prescribed medications.
To provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations, such as self-harm or acute mental health episodes.
To succeed in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Hold current prison security clearance
