Our client, a leading financial services business, is seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior Decision Support Manager to join their dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant who excels beyond traditional accounting roles, adding significant value through strategic decision-making and innovative thinking.

Your new role

Key responsibilities will be varied and include:
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conducting comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Business Partnering:Collaborating with various departments to provide financial insights and support business initiatives. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior management.
  • Strategic Planning:Contributing to the development and implementation of long-term strategic plans. Identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Monitoring financial performance and providing actionable insights.
  • Performance Management: Developing and implementing performance metrics to track business progress. Analysing variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Risk Management:
    Identifying and assessing financial risks. Developing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Driving continuous improvement in financial processes and systems. Implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Leadership:
    Mentoring and developing junior finance team members. Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the finance department.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualifications:
  • Professional Certification: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a finance role, with a focus on decision support and strategic planning.
Skills Required:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
