This dynamic and inclusive school in Hastings are dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic PE Technician to join their Physical Education department.
Job Description
The PE Technician will be a vital part of the team, ensuring the efficient operation of the PE department. Key Responsibilities include:
  • Managing Equipment:
    Overseeing the maintenance, preparation, and setup of sports equipment and facilities for both lessons and extracurricular activities.
  • Supporting PE Staff:
    Assisting PE teachers during classes and events, including the setup and takedown of equipment.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety:
    Making sure all equipment and facilities comply with health and safety standards.
  • Inventory Control:
    Maintaining an accurate inventory of PE equipment and managing the procurement of new supplies.
  • Administrative Support:
    Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and communication with students and parents.
  • Event Coordination:
    Helping organize and execute sports events, competitions, and school sports days.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • A full driving license is desirable.
  • A strong passion for sports and physical education.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
