We’re on the hunt for a passionate and qualified Maths Teacher to inspire young minds and keep their number skills sharper than a protractor’s point!

About the Role:

A well-regarded secondary school in Southampton is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their vibrant team immediately after the May half-term break. This is a full-time teaching role, continuing until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of extension from September 2025.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students find the formula for success both in exams and beyond!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on students’ progress, providing regular feedback to drive improvement.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where all students feel valued.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and share best practices.
  • Uphold high standards of classroom management and student behaviour.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and professional development opportunities.
Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – this is non-negotiable (like maths homework!).
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding.
  • A genuine passion for mathematics and inspiring students.
  • A flexible, forward-thinking approach – ready to adapt and grow with the role.
