Interim Head of IT Operations - Contract - Remote

Our client: one of the UK’s largest not-for-profit charities employing over 3000 staff are looking for an Interim Head of IT Operations on an initial 3-month basis with a remit to put in place structure, processes and governance across some of their core IT operation functions to include but not limited to:
  • Foundation Asset Management
  • Service Management
  • Supplier & Contract Management
  • Engineer / Support Management


Role: Interim Head of IT Operations
Duration: Initial 3 months
Location: UK - Remote with occasional site visits
Rate: £550.00 per day
IR35: TBC


The role:

Background & Experience required:
You will have significant & demonstrable experience as a Head of IT Operations, adept and comfortable at operating in less mature environments where you will have supported organisations by embedding structure, governance, processes & assurance across asset management, service management, supplier management, contract management, support & infrastructure management.

You will need to be ITIL certified (Foundation level minimum) & have a thorough understanding and expertise around ISO 27001 business continuity planning (BCP) enabling you to support the organisation as they go through transformation & growth.

The role will involve maturing their Service Management functions & capabilities by embedding 1st, 2nd & 3rd line roles and responsibilities to improve their service offering both internally and externally.
You will be adept at supplier and contract management, enabling you to support the organisation's IT Procurement function to get the absolute best out of their supplier agreements by ensuring SLAs & KPIs are met and adhered to ensuring suppliers are held accountable where appropriate.

Experience of working with procurement teams on tender processes is also necessary as the organisation looks to secure a new network provider and full end-to-end lifecycle support.
You must be an outstanding communicator and self-starter who is comfortable operating in environments on an IT maturity journey.
