SEN Teaching Assistant - Loughborough
Hays Education is working with a specialist school in Loughborough who are looking for a new Teaching Assistant for the Summer Term. The school provides an excellent education for pupils with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This is a temporary, term-time only position to start as soon as possible

Your new role
In your new job as a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work with a team of like-minded practitioners to support pupils with a range of additional needs. You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups adapting your style to the needs of each child. Hays Teaching Assistants make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities which make every day different! You’ll benefit from on-going support from your Hays consultant, Hollie, who will be there for you throughout this placement and beyond.
What you need to succeed
To succeed in your new job, you’ll have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working with pupils who have complex medical conditions or serious physical disabilities, ideally in an educational setting. You’ll be able to adapt to the needs of students across age groups with previous experience supporting children with communication and/or sensory needs. Most importantly, you’ll be confident stepping into a new school and ready to quickly build relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents.
