Health and Safety Manager, NEBOSH, Public Sector

Your new company

Our clients are a leading public sector organisation based in South London who are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of their employees and the general public. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their Corporate and Commercial Assets team on a 3-month rolling contract basis to lead all their H+S initiatives.

Your new role

Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Lead fire safety initiatives, including fire risk assessments, emergency planning, and fire drills.
Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices, including fire safety protocols.
Investigate incidents and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure health and safety standards are met across all operations.
Stay updated on relevant health and safety legislation and ensure the organisation’s compliance.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager, preferably within the public sector.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Experience in fire safety management, including conducting fire risk assessments and emergency planning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Relevant certifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
