Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting an Accountant for our client, who are a dynamic and forward-thinking charity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts and experience with the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP).
Your new role
Manage and maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with SORP guidelines.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in accounting, preferably within a similar role.
Familiarity with SORP is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
