Hays education are supporting an amazing primary school in Warrington who are seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to ensure their school facilities remain a fantastic environment for learning and growth.
Your new role
The role of the School Caretaker is essential to the smooth running of our school, and we’re looking for someone who is ready to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness, security, and general upkeep of the school premises and grounds.
- Undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the facilities are in excellent condition.
- Monitor and manage building systems, including heating, lighting, and ventilation.
- Ensure the school premises are secure, including locking/unlocking buildings as needed.
- Oversee waste management and recycling processes.
- Support the school in setting up for events or activities, such as rearranging furniture and equipment.
- Collaborate with contractors and external maintenance providers when required.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Practical skills in DIY, basic repairs, and maintenance work.
- A responsible and reliable individual with excellent time management.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A commitment to ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
