MRICS Building Surveyor, Expert Witness, part-time flexible, working across Yorkshire, out of scope of IR35
Your new company
A North West based consultancy with a presence across the country requires a chartered building surveyor to join their team on a remote basis working across Yorkshire. Working within the residential sector as Expert Witnesses working 90% for the claimants and 10% for landlord & single joint.
Your new role
As a MRICS building surveyor, you will complete between 3–4 surveys a week with the surveys being booked in with the central team a couple of weeks in advance. Your region will cover Lincoln to North Allerton and you will be required to travel to the site, complete the survey and then write the report before submitting it to the portal.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will need to be MRICS and have previously done expert witness work. You will need to be able to drive and travel across Yorkshire to complete the surveys. The role is out of scope of IR35 so you will be required to have your own PI insurance.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will get a rate per survey. 9/10 surveys will be over £1,000 and will be at a higher rate, but 1/10 will be under £1,000 and therefore at a lower rate per survey.
