Facilities Assistant

Your new company

Our client are an international insurance firm, which involves risk management and consulting services. They are hiring a Facilities Assistant to join their already established facilities team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

As a facilities assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operations of the building. This will be from performing administrative tasks, daily maintenance and customer service due to this being a client-facing role.

  • Running access control for our UK estate – creating/cancelling access passes and management of the systems
  • Conduct routine inspections of the facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance services
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies or urgent requests
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment – escalating issues where appropriate
  • Assist in maintaining records of maintenance activities, repairs, statutory documents
  • Running post rooms
  • Support the Facilities Manager in planning and executing facility improvement projects
  • Assist with general administrative/ad hoc tasks as needed

  • Flexible approach to responsibilities and remit in a changing environment

  • Basic knowledge of H&S regulations and requirements
  • Professional presentation and telephone manner
  • Discrete and flexible
  • Essential: Eligible to live and work in the UK, Experience in FM environment
  • Desirable, IOSH cert
