Senior/Associate Development Agency, Leeds, permanent role, excellent progression opportunities

Your new company
I am excited to be working with a highly regarded property company in Leeds City centre who are seeking a qualified and experienced commercial surveyor to join their dynamic Agency and Development team. A business that has been operating in Leeds for over 20 years delivering some statement projects in the city.


Your new role
This role is pivotal in supporting a wide range of development and corporate support instructions, delivering effective and timely reporting for both long-running projects and urgent transactional instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct client servicing with high-level communication and presentation skills.
  • Conducting site investigations, comparable searches, and desktop reporting on Property Due Diligence.
  • Providing Development Appraisal support, sensitivity analysis, and cost analysis.
  • Engaging in general valuation work, detailed property due diligence, and development agency/disposals.
  • Generating new work and understanding the planning and design evolution process.
  • Utilising Argus Developer Software for multi-phase development appraisals.
  • Monitoring planning applications and maintaining market presence across various sectors (Offices/Industrial/Residential/Retail & Leisure).
  • Negotiating disposals and understanding key criteria for site selection.
  • Collaborating effectively within a team and cross-selling skills and services from other areas of the business.
  • Maintaining market records and interpreting data for market reports/presentations/advisory work.
  • Understanding Landlord and Tenant law and lease mechanics, including repair and rent review clauses.

What you'll need to succeed
  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Organised, analytical, and proactive approach.
  • Ambitious with a desire to succeed and progress.
  • Attention to detail and understanding of the company's "Value Add" approach.
  • Minimum 2/3 years PQE.
  • Experience in the Yorkshire Property Markets and knowledge of key personnel (advantageous but not essential).
