A contract opportunity for an experienced digital learning designer

Your new company

Our client is a global organisation who produces vital research and data that impacts environmental issues across the globe. To support the work they do, the need has arisen for an interim Digital Learning Designer to join them from April 2025 for approx 4 months to create several digital learning courses. Our client is based in Oxfordshire and would ideally like this role to be based in their office at least 1 in 10 working days to maximise the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues.

Your new role

You will be working on Moodle for this contract role and will be required to design approximately 3 courses and put some additional resources together, such as fact sheets. You will own the end-to-end process and will use your creative flair to ensure your digital learning is engaging, audience appropriate and inclusive. You will be working with learning templates, brand tone of voice guidelines and quality assurance guides and will have access to subject-matter experts. In this role, you will be working independently on your project but will be part of a small team within Learning Design for the organisation. You will have access to technical resources to help develop illustration and animation as part of your course content.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience of designing digital learning is essential to be considered for this opportunity. You will ideally have worked with Moodle previously, although candidates with experience on Canva and Blackboard Learn may also be considered. Previous experience of working with stakeholders in research/academia would be highly advantageous. If you have produced digital learning that has also been used by business as an external learning material, this would also be highly advantageous.
