Your new role
The client is seeking an ambitious, hardworking, and professional Accounts Assistant to join their Financial Control team, reporting to the regional Finance Manager. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing accounts payable processes, ensuring compliance with the delegated authority matrix and classification requirements for inter-group billing
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and be a point of contact for supplier enquiries
- Set-up bank payments for approval in accordance with the banking authorities and supplier terms.
- Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations and assist senior staff with foreign currency/liquidity monitoring, as well as supporting with balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings, and reporting requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Educated to degree level with the desire to achieve an accounting qualification OR level 3 AAT qualification/commencement of accounting qualification
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
- Prior experience with accounts payable processes
- Prior experience working within a group structure
- Relevant knowledge of local tax laws and regulations
- Experience using SAP S/4 accounting system desirable but not required
- Ambition to start/continue an accounting qualification viewed favourably
