Hays are working with a manufacturing organisation based in Monaghan to appoint an HR Officer. This is a stand-alone role reporting to the managing director. Hours of work are Monday - Friday. Salary is circa €40,000, plus bonus scheme, plus 31 days holidays

Your new role

This is a stand alone role reporting to the managing director. Main duties include:

• Support the recruitment process e.g. posting ads, screening candidates and reference checks.

• Issue employment contracts, offer letters and correspondence to staff.

• Manage the new employee induction process and support during the initial employment period.

• Management of employee probation periods i.e. tracking progress and performance with managers.

• Management of employee welfare programs and driving employee engagement.

• Advise management team on HR related queries by staying up to date and complying with changes in EU / IRL legislation in both HR and GDPR.

• Support to management when dealing with long and short-term absence.

• Dealing with day-to-day HR queries from employees & management in a timely and professional manner.

• Develop employee communication through different mediums e.g. company newsletter.

• Review and develop HR policies, procedures and Employee Handbook.

• Representing the HR aspect of the business in various cross-functional teams.

• Develop, manage and report on HR KPI’s

• Performance of other related duties as assigned.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience working in a similar HR role.

• Have attained CIPD qualification or other HR qualification.

• Good employment law / HR knowledge.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• The ability to work on own initiative.

• Ability to prioritise and work at pace to complete tasks effectively
