Your New Role
As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and developing electrical systems for a variety of building projects. Key responsibilities include:
  • Creating detailed schematic designs and technical drawings.
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Managing design projects from initial concept through to final implementation.
  • Ensuring all designs comply with current industry standards and regulations.
  • Liaising with consultants, contractors, and clients to support design decisions and resolve technical challenges.
  • Participating in design reviews and contributing to quality assurance processes.
This role offers you the chance to expand your technical expertise while playing a crucial role in delivering innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will ideally have:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Solid experience (typically 3–5 years) within electrical design in the building services industry.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • A comprehensive understanding of current BS/IET standards and best practices within the sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes on time.
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently and adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A passion for sustainability and energy-efficient design is an advantage.
