Corporate tax role within National firm - mix of compliance and advisory work with varied client portfolio

Your new company

Working as a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or Manager within this very successful and supportive National accountancy firm, you will benefit from clear opportunities to develop your experience and progress your career.

Your new role

Working with clients which include both complex multinationals and smaller OMBs, you will develop excellent relationships with your portfolio and will undertake a mix of compliance and advisory work. You will be responsible for reviewing compliance work undertaken by more junior members of the team and preparing some of the more complex computations. You will also work on advisory projects across a range of matters which might include R&D, succession planning, group reorgs, due diligence, management buy-outs, restructuring, tax audit and international work. You will work closely with senior staff and will have scope to identify opportunities to further improve efficiency and support the development of the team.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate for this role will hold ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualifications and will possess clear corporate tax experience gained within an accountancy firm. My clients are looking for an Assistant Manager or Manager who is confidently able to review corporate tax computations and work on advisory projects across a range of tax matters. A tax professional with the desire to develop professionally and who can help more junior members of the team to further their technical knowledge would be preferable.

What you'll get in return

This is an opportunity to join a growing mid-tier firm who are enjoying ongoing success and who have clear plans for further expansion within a sustainable time frame. You will work in the firm's Birmingham office but may also spend some time working with tax colleagues within the local region and nationally. Working closely with a very supportive tax partner, you will have the opportunity to make an impact on the team's performance and will have personal development and progression mapped out.
