Lead a New Project from Scratch with tier 1 Builder
Your new company
Our client are a leading tier 1 contractor with broad interests across the construction sector from building hospitals for the NHS to building key parts of the nation's civil infrastructure.They are due to commence a new £12million project in Ayrshire and are seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team.
Your new role
As Senior QS you will be a key part of the commercial team responsible for the delivery of this project. You will take on a core part of the works as a commercial lead and be responsible for all commercial activities for these packages from planning and procurement to contracts management and final handover.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager and with a junior QS reporting to you your role will be critical part of the success of this project.
What you'll need to succeed
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be degree qualified in this space and have direct experience of working on large publicly funded projects for a tier 1 or tier 2 contractor. You will have exceptional commercial experience and are confident in your ability to manage all the key commercial elements of a large complex design and construction project. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills, and you will have ambitions to progress your career within a large tier 1 contractor towards commercial management.
