We are looking to appoint an Attendance Team Administrator to help improve school attendance.

School attendance is crucial for a child’s academic success, social-emotional development, and over all well-being. Being around teachers and friends in a school is the best way for pupils to learn and reach their potential. Time in school also keeps children safe and provides access to extra-curricular opportunities and pastoral care.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Attendance Support team whose goal is to improve school attendance.

You will provide administrative support to the school’s Education Welfare Officer. This administrative support will
include:

  • Sending out attendance letters to families
  • Attending attendance meetings with the Education Welfare Officer
  • Calling parents/careers regarding the reasons for their child’s none attendance
  • Chasing up medical evidence for pupils’ absence
  • Adding late pupils to the school detentions systems
  • Tracking late pupils and issuing letters accordingly
  • Calling and reminding parents/carers of Attendance Support Meetings
  • Disseminating attendance information in a timely manner to Heads of Year and Pastoral Support Teams.

We are keen to hear from someone who has excellent administrative skills, good numeracy and literacy skills and very good ICT skills.

Working Hours:

  • 8am to 4.30pm with a 20-minute paid break less 30 minutes’ lunch break (8 hours) Mondays
  • 8am to 3.45pm with a 20-minute paid break less 30 minutes’ lunch break 7.25 hours/day (Tuesdays to Fridays).
