Arboricultural Consultant - Permanent Job - North Midlands - Flexible Salary


Your new company

A smaller consultancy that has established for over 3 years. Ran by an ambitious chartered arboriculture professional who is looking to add a consultant with the same mindset to their business.

They work in the Midlands and South predominantly but function across the UK, they are based near the West of the peak district and are well connected to the northern and midlands major cities.

Your new role

You'll have an independent hand in exciting projects ranging from residential developments of around 8,000 units to unique urban greening.

You'll be conducting surveys such as:

  • Subsidence investigations;
  • H&S tree risk management / Visual Tree Assessment (VTA);
  • BS5837 data, plans etc.

You'll also be writing the relevant reports for the above and project managing your own work to ensure you learn and develop - you won't be held back, but you will be strongly supported. You'll liaise with clients and though it wont be a requirement, conduct business development. Any work brought on will be favourable and rewarded.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential:

  • BSc in Arboriculture / Ecology or related subject
  • Membership with an environmental institution, for e.g., IEMA / CIEEM
  • Experience conducting surveys (listed above) as a lead and organising sub-contractors
  • Full UK Driving License
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and organise you're own diary
  • A desire to achieve and progress

Desirable:

  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Client base
  • Own vehicle
