"Within four days of arriving in London, I had a meeting arranged with my UK consultant who ran me through the “ins and outs” of teaching in the UK. This proved invaluable as it was like having my very own coach. I signed on the dotted line and within a few days had steady work. I was never short of work, even during the “quiet” periods, thanks to a diligent team at Hays. I was able to work a flexible week that allowed for travel and the necessary days off that working abroad throws at you. Knowing that someone was doing all the hard work for you, as well as providing invaluable feedback, made working with Hays a pleasure."

"As a teacher in Australia, the thought of travelling and teaching in the UK was always something that appealed to me. To me it was important to be registered with a well-known and reputable company. I was able to have all my paperwork completed before leaving Australia, and when arriving in the London office, Hays had me teaching in schools within a week. My Hays consultant in the UK had a great relationship with a wide range of schools meaning I worked everyday I was available while in London. Overall I would highly recommend Hays to any teacher in Australia looking to teach in the UK."

"I registered with a few agencies when I first got to the UK. I found Hays the best and really liked the 5 day guarantee. It made me feel more financially secure and I was able to plan how to spend/budget my money (especially as I wasn't getting paid for holidays)."

"As a qualified teacher in NSW and limited work opportunities for full time employment I decided to leave Sydney, travel Europe during the summer and settle down in the UK. I travelled the Mediterranean, starting with the Greek Islands, Ios & Santorini then flying to Croatia to visit Dubrovnik "Old Town" and Makarska, both these places were amazing. To tempt the taste buds I went on to Italy to eat my way through Venice, Rome and Florence. If you love history Rome was incredible, I can't wait to go back. It was then time to dance my way through Spain and experience Barcelona, a quieter city from Italy. To finish off the trip I spent a week in Nice, France, relaxing on the beach, living it up in Monaco and day trips to St Tropez. Since settling into the UK, Hays has already made me feel comfortable. Knowing they have work lined up for me as soon as the school term starts is a great feeling. My consultants on both ends, Sydney and UK, are very supportive and approachable. I highly recommend moving abroad to travel and be a part of Hays. "
