Senior HR Advisors are required to join a busy team during a period of change for an initial contract Dorset

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing a full range of employer relations casework, engaging with unions, leading change consultation meetings, and conducting job evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Employer Relations Case Work: Grievance, Disciplinary, Sickness, Absence, Capability, Performance, Dismissal and investigations.
  • Working with union members on individual ER cases and consultation meetings
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives.
  • Change Consultation Meetings:
    • Lead and facilitate consultation meetings for restructuring and redundancy with employees and stakeholders.
  • Job Evaluation: Conduct job evaluation to determine appropriate grading and salary levels.
Candidates
We are seeking experienced HR professionals, Senior HR Advisor / HR Advisor / HR Manager who have strong background of employer relations case work within complex unionised environments and also undertake consultation and job evaluation work.
  • Proven experience in HR advisory roles, with a strong background in employer relations.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience in union engagement and change management.
  • Proficiency in job evaluation methodologies.
  • CIPD Level 5 / Level 7

This role is offered on an initial temporary contract basis, working via Hays on a full-time basis but open to discussing part-time for 3–4 days.

The role would have a base in Dorset and would potentially need to be on site for 3 days per week if full-time but happy to discuss.
