Marketing & Events Officer, Cambridgeshire, Perm opportunity, Education, College

HAYS Marketing is working in partnership with a college who are looking to appoint a Marketing & Events Executive to join their team, where you will work with schools, stakeholders and prospective students recruiting for their Huntingdon and Cambridge Campuses.

About the role
You will be working to help young people make informed decisions about their next step. You will be working with the team to build awareness of the college’s offer, and of the different educational routes available. Regularly out and about in schools and at events in person and online, you will be equally comfortable talking to large groups at school assemblies, talking directly to prospective students and parents about their options and setting up events.

Central to this is building and maintaining relationships with schools, sixth forms and college stakeholders, external and internal. As part of the team planning and delivering the college’s recruitment activities, you will be preparing presentations, videos, promotional materials and coordinating events and engagement activities.

This role will contribute to delivering impactful marketing communications and campaigns that support the College's recruitment objectives. This includes creating compelling case studies, engaging social media content, newsletters, email campaigns, as well as supporting in-college events, open days, and visits to local schools and community engagement events.

They are looking for an energetic, creative, focussed and meticulously organised individual with experience in marketing and events across a variety of platforms to join their marketing and school liaison department.

Essential criteria:
This role requires travelling across the campuses, so it is essential for candidates to have a UK driving licence and access to their own car.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including satisfactory Enhanced criminal records with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

In return, they are offering the following benefits:
  • Competitive salary of £26,825 - £28,629 per annum
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday–Friday
  • 27 days holiday in addition to 8 days bank holidays plus Christmas closure
  • Hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
  • Generous Contributory Pension Schemes: LGPS 20.1%
  • Free gym membership option and discounted classes
  • Discounted rates on college courses
  • BUPA Health Expenses cash plan and Occupational Health services
  • Free annual flu vaccination and Corporate Eye Care Scheme
  • Free on-site car parking with EV charging spaces available
  • Exclusive discounts for high street and online stores
  • On-site subsidised restaurants, retail and coffee outlets, including Costa and Starbucks
  • Free independent telephone counselling service with our Employee Assistant Programme
  • Career progression and development opportunities
