Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Structured Cabling Engineer with at least 3 years’ hands-on data centre and corporate environment experience. The role includes installing, terminating, and testing fibre and copper cabling, using Fluke equipment, setting up cable pathways, and supporting rack-and-stack of network hardware.
Candidates must hold relevant H&S certification (CSCS/ECS or equivalent), at least three manufacturer accreditations, and a recognised structured cabling/fibre training qualification (CNET, BICSI, City & Guilds, etc.). IPAF/PASMA is preferred.
Strong communication skills, flexibility for night/weekend work, and willingness to travel in the UK and internationally are essential.

Job Requirements
- Strong familiarity with Data Centre and Corporate environments
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in the structured cabling industry
- Good understanding of various structured cabling solutions
- Skilled in installing, terminating, and testing fibre optic cables
- Proficient with Fluke test equipment and fault diagnosis
- Must hold Health & Safety training (CSCS, ECS, or equivalent) affiliated with CITB
- Minimum 3 industry/manufacturer accreditations (e.g., Commscope, Corning, Panduit)
- Completed recognised structured cabling/fibre optic training (CNET CNIT, BICSI, City & Guilds, B-TEC or equivalent)
- IPAF and/or PASMA certification preferred
- Experience installing cable pathways (basket trays, trunking, fibre runner)
- Ability to read and follow patching schedules / cut sheets
- Experience installing power and data cabling in server and network racks
- Experience with rack and stack of network hardware (switches, routers, servers)
- Able to follow technical instructions and support remote network/systems administrators
- Can apply basic IP addressing under supervision
- Experience with installing and configuring UPS systems (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and professional stakeholder interaction
- Willing and able to travel across the UK and internationally for project work
- Willing to work nights, shifts, and weekends as required
- Flexible working hours
