Hays Engineering is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team comprising two Design Engineers and one Robotics Engineer. Working hours are 38.5 hours per week: Monday – Thursday: 7:00am to 4:00pm Friday: 7:00am to 2:00pm

Your new role
  • Lead and mentor the engineering team to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects—from design and development to testing—ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to embed engineering solutions into broader project frameworks.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and supporting professional growth.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Demonstrable experience in engineering management, ideally with a systems engineering focus.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Hands-on experience with PLM and ERP systems.
  • Proven ability to build Bills of Materials (BOMs) tailored to customer specifications.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a track record of managing diverse teams and multiple concurrent projects.
