Global corporate & institutional bank seeks an MLRO to lead its UK 2nd line financial crime prevention team.
Renowned global corporate & institutional bank seeks an MLRO to lead its UK 2nd line financial crime prevention team. Reporting to the UK CCO, the successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of the bank’s financial crime compliance with FCA rules, enhancing systems and controls that monitor, identify and manage money laundering risk. Furthermore, the incumbent will manage the 2nd line financial crime prevention team of 7 staff, covering all facets from AML, PEP and sanctions to fraud and AB&C. You will also act as Secretary for the Financial Crime Risk Committee and have a dotted line report into the CEO. Candidates are sought with at least 10 years’ financial crime experience gained strictly in a wholesale financial services setting, with working knowledge of products such as corporate & institutional lending and trade finance. Whilst current or past history of holding SMF17 with the FCA is a distinct advantage, candidates who are acting or deputy MLRO’s bringing other leadership qualities to the table will also be considered.
