Your new role

As Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading the finance function, ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity and control. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, managing audits, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful analysis. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to financial management.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including statutory accounts and management reports
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning
  • Overseeing payroll, pensions, PAYE/NI compliance, and HMRC relationships
  • Managing AP/AR, credit control, and implementing robust financial controls
  • Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS, VAT, corporation tax, and international tax regulations
  • Handling group accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and consolidations
  • Leading external and internal audit processes and driving process improvements
  • Providing technical accounting guidance and maintaining sophisticated accounting systems

What you'll need to succeed

  • Fully qualified Accountant with 8+ years post-qualified experience
  • Strong technical accounting background with experience in complex accounting treatments
  • Experience in manufacturing or production industries
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Sage Intacct
  • Proven ability to manage international transactions and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail
