I’m recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business operating in a highly regulated environment. They’re looking for a Quality Manager to take ownership of quality assurance across production, proofing, and disposal processes, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and statutory standards. You’ll supervise processes, provide training, and work closely with teams to embed best practice and maintain safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll spend time in the production environment, supporting teams, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring compliance is second nature.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervising quality assurance processes across manufacturing and proofing operations
- Driving process improvements using recognised problem-solving techniques (8D, FMEA, 5 Whys)
- Providing training and guidance to teams on quality standards
- Preparing for and supporting internal and external audits
- Collaborating with operations and leadership to meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Maintaining and improving existing quality systems
- Leading audits and ensuring robust documentation standards
What you’ll bring
- A time-served engineering apprenticeship or recognised engineering qualification
- Experience in a manufacturing environment regulated by ISO 9001
- Familiarity with auditing practices (CQI qualification desirable)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and assess manufacturing processes
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for continuous improvement
What’s on offer
- Salary up to £50,000
- A role where you can make a visible impact every day
- A collaborative culture focused on safety, integrity, and innovation
