Your new role
We are looking to appoint two Class Teachers to join our team.

As a Class Teacher at Quorn Hall School, you will lead the planning, assessment, and implementation of a high-quality curriculum, expertly differentiating the National Curriculum to meet the diverse needs and interests of learners with SEMH difficulties. Ideally, you will bring strong experience from an SEMH or Autism school setting. While we are flexible regarding subject specialisms, we are particularly interested in candidates with KS3 experience. However, we also warmly encourage KS2 teachers with relevant experience to apply.

We would love to hear from you if you thrive on working in a demanding but immensely rewarding environment; if you are passionate about supporting the development of social, life and independence skills; and if you truly want to make a difference in the lives of our pupils.

Experience

• Have a good, secure working knowledge of all subject areas within the curriculum.
• Take a lead on one or more curriculum areas and coordinate these areas throughout the school.
• Strive to improve pupil motivation and engagement by continually evaluating different approaches and strategies and willingly share successful strategies amongst the staff group.
• Promote a love of learning and encourage children’s intellectual curiosity.
• Demonstrate an awareness of the physical, social and intellectual development of children, and know how to adapt teaching to support pupils’ education at different stages of development.
• Know and understand how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas, including statutory assessment requirements.
• Have consistently high expectations of behaviour.
• Continually evaluate approaches to behaviour management, share successes with the staff group and be willing to take advice.
• Maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary.
