Your new company

Here at Hays, we are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and successful company based in Bradford, they are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis. You will become part of a fast-paced finance team.

Your new role

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will have daily responsibilities. These include:

Processing invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner.

Assisting with the month-end and year-end closing periods.

Providing administrative support to the finance teams and other departments.

Recording payment information for suppliers.

Keeping track of financial records and ensuring outstanding balances are paid.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous Purchase Ledger experience is essential for this role.

You will need to have knowledge of basic debits and credits with an awareness of double entry bookkeeping.

Possess the main skills required for a Purchase Ledger role, such as, time management, attention to detail, and accuracy.

You need to be confident working as a part of a team whilst also being able to work on your own initiative.
